Eckhart Tolle

an excerpt transcript from the Findhorn Retreat

…the original reason for all art is the sacred, to be a portal, an access point for the sacred… in it you see yourself reflected, the formless reflected, shining through the form, that is true art…

Some music can have a divine function too… in some rare cases it still has.
Music that comes out of the stillness, that when you listen to music that came out of the stillness, whoever created it or whoever is playing it or singing it, it comes out of that state of consciousness, and then it assumes a form, and yet the form is fresh and new, and it has come out of that and the stillness still clings to it as a fragrance, it still emanates that, even if its sound.

And that’s the beauty of all art, true art, it reflects still that state of consciousness out of which it comes.

And then you have a lot of pseudo-art in this world where clever minds are trying to be even more clever – ‘lets think of something new, what can we do here? Maybe we can put that here or that could go there, that would look clever…’ They call it art, but it lacks something, its totally trapped in form, there’s only manipulating old forms, nothing new has come in, and nothing that can lead you back to the formless, which is the original reason for all art is the sacred, to be a portal, an access point for the sacred, so that when you see it or experience it, you experience yourself, in it you see yourself reflected, the formless reflected, shining through the form, that is true art, always there is more than what you see or hear…there is more than that, and that shines through the form, and that is what can happen to you, what is happening to you. Ultimately it’s not everybody’s purpose to create works of art, a few humans do that, that is their function, partly, in this world, but much more importantly is for you to become that work of art, your whole life, and you’re very being becomes transparent so that the formless can shine through, and that happens when you are no longer totally identified with the world of form, and that happens when you have access to the realm of stillness within yourself.

And then something emanates through the form that has nothing to do with the form, it may emanate only as a silent emanation and not assume any form as such… there have been very few in the past, holy people…

What is the new state of consciousness that is arising?
It is the state that is balanced – the two dimensions, the manifested and the unmanifested, balanced in a human being. And that is such a radical transformation that when a certain number of humans live in that way so they become what before was a work of art, you become the work of art, you become that which is transparent to the formless, the divine… that will change the entire world, the human-made world will be changed completely… the important thing is for us to enter that new state.
What that does to your story who knows?
You cannot predict, nor do you need to predict that. Are you going to become a great artist, are you going to win Wimbledon? Bear in mind that great artists and the tennis players are not enlightened masters – they have access to that which is greater than the limited human mind in the small field of their activity, and most of them, when they go back into normal life, away from where they have mastery, they are just as mad as everybody else – and sometimes even more mad – because sometimes the mind-made entity gets in there and looks at what they did and says ‘I did that, that was me’ – the greatest illusion. Then of course… the ego identifies with whatever came out of the state of no ego… and then begins to believe what other people are saying about you, and that you are the greatest – they project their images of specialness onto you…

…where there’s even a glimpse of aliveness and freshness, yes there’s something there, and then the personality, the person comes back the moment they step back from the act of creation or the performance, they step back and there’s the old personality, and sometimes it’s a dreadful burden for some ability that comes from the non-personal realm to be integrated into the person, and they just can’t do it, it’s totally misperceived, just as the world misperceives it, and then they believe themselves to be very special – and there comes a huge conflict between power that comes out of the formless and the limited person that misinterprets it and claims something out of that.

The magic that comes from the formless realm into your life, when you look at our civilization, seems to be gone completely, because the civilization is almost totally not sacred, it is profane – it is a dreary burdensome structure that humans have created – when you look at the mainstream civilization. So many humans seem to be tired… there’s a weariness that they carry, the civilization is grinding them down, another day of pointless running around, and even those that are still running around, they know that it is pointless – what’s the point?

And so there are many reasons why the entire civilization is reaching a point of collapse, and one is that the humans that are still sustaining it, they can’t carry the burden of their self-created structures anymore – absurd complexity for the sake of complexity – mind created, just a reflection of their state of consciousness, in which there is no gap in the stream of one thought after another – the voice in the head that never stops speaking becomes a civilization that is obsessed with form, that is obsessed with things – and it therefore knows nothing of that which you could say is the most important dimension of human existence – the sacred – the stillness – the formless – the divine – all these have become meaningless in our civilization. And yet, many humans are beginning to realize what’s happening, and so there is in many a search for something else – and that number of humans is growing everyday – and that’s the beauty of it.

…you could say there is the canvas on which the perception is painted, there is a background of spacious stillness, that’s yourself, that’s the consciousness that you are – formless… there is something within you that recognizes the impermanent nature of all life forms… and the more you realize the impermanence of all forms, the more you are aware of the formless within yourself… awareness aware of itself.

Ezekiel interprets human DNA

Merkabah: the human DNA inter-dimensional field

Ezekiel references the chariot of ascension or “Chayot” as 4 living angels, with 4 faces and 4 wings, an ancient description of what has come to be connected with the Merkabah. Incidentally ‘Merkabah’ is used in the Old Testament 44 times, that’s 44 uses of a term with aspects allegedly numbering 4-4-4, (Wiki, ref: Merkabah).
That’s a lot of 4’s.

In Kryon’s most recent channel “DNA Revealed” which is due for publication in book 12, a 3rd mention of the Merkabah is made since 1987, this time with more detail and thus highly significant. Kryon has been teaching for some time that our visible strands of DNA are but two of twelve, that not only are the other ten strands quantum, but that they are in fact what we will come to acknowledge as our consciousness.
In esoteric terms, this is our divine aspect and our Akash, that accounts for 90% of the DNA function, the 90% that scientists call ‘random’.
Kryon confirms the sacred geometry that has been long associated with the Merkabah, that of the star tetrahedron. The tetrahedron is a 4-point pyramid, which when slotted together, (4-4), forms a 3D 8-point double tetrahedron, or 2D 6-pointed star, more commonly known as the Star of David. Note more 4’s with the tetrahedron.

It strikes me as poignant that Ezekiel’s Merkabah math of 4-4-4 adds to 12, and that literal translation of “Chayot” is ‘living creatures’. Could this be a reference to our 12-stranded DNA? Kryon confirms that the human energy field is our DNA, that the Merkabah is the human inter-dimensional field in the shape of a star tetrahedron.
Ezekiel describes “the likeness of man” as driving the chariot, but what is it that the chariot – the Merkabah – transports exactly? Kryon states that human DNA is “more than chemistry, it is a field and a portal… these things are the mechanics of Spirit”, that the quantum aspect of our DNA is that which is connected to All That Is. It would appear that our random 90% of DNA may be Ezekiel’s “likeness of man” that transports our divine aspect, the bright spark we intuitively suspected was there all along.

Ultimately, what is the significance of the Merkabah, our DNA inter-dimensional field? The significance is that it is quantum, thereby intelligent, it has the wisdom of many lives lived, and that it is on stand-by, waiting for our permission to assist us in our everyday lives, that all we need do is simply ask, and trust that it knows what is in our highest good.

Dear Spirit, dear DNA, examine the life that I have and give me those things which will enhance it.”

…Soul Fragments

…a group of paintings on paper, using blue and black ink. I’m blending calligraphic style brush work with the mental domain of geometric forms. Narrowing the colour palette allows for concentrated experimentation with form and texture. The calligraphic and textural elements are indicative of the etheric body, while the geometric personalities represent thought forms.
This current project has been inspired by the shamanic practice of soul retrieval, of which the aim is to reintegrate soul fragments that have become disconnected through trauma. Soul Fragments will be launched on VA later this year.

…being a buddha

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Spiritual truth is not something elaborate and esoteric,
it is in fact profound common sense.
When you realize the nature of mind, layers of confusion peel away.
You don’t actually “become” a buddha, you simply cease, slowly, to be deluded.
And being a buddha is not being some omnipotent spiritual superman,
but becoming at last a true human being.

A Blanket of Compromise

It strikes me as odd that we find so much comfort from that old friend (?) compromise. It is a strange friend that wraps a blanket of false dreams and hopes around our personal universe… heaven help us if the blanket slips or we dare take a peek above it, what will we see? Well let me tell you as someone who knows – a world of multi-dimensional explosive colour that rocks the very foundation of everything we think we believe in.

AUTHORS WARNING – if you are wondering ‘what is that madman talking about?’ then stop reading now because you have not yet glimpsed beyond the blanket and doing so may seriously change your day…
If you are still with me then I suspect you have already stepped forward, and if like me you are well down this path then this next bit is really quite amusing. However if you are new to this, it may seem somewhat harsh – but trust me, it will make you smile in the end.

How weird to wake each day and watch the layers of compromise peel away, only to spend even more energy compromising the compromise in the vain attempt of staying firmly in the middle of the same path. What is even more unsettling is the world we now glimpse is one we always knew about, and lost somewhere around puberty when we were trying to be what we thought everyone else wanted us to be!
So it goes like this – I set out on a journey along time ago with the objective of reaching the peak of a beautiful mountain – I cleared the foothills and have worked my way through the lower slopes, some challenging, many beautiful and rewarding. On this climb I meet wonderful people and experience many joyous events. Then one fine day I make it through the tree line and can see clear air for the first time since the plains of my youth. Why then, am I feeling a creeping sense of unease, rather than elation? Out of the corner of my eye I can see another peak, one that calls out with clarity of my youth. Slow realization dawns that I may have taken a wrong turn and need to be in a different place!
So what do I do now you may ask? While I refrain from this turning into a counseling session, I can assure you that drinking copious amounts of beer, crying, screaming, working even harder, or taking up jogging, all work exceptionally well at blocking the view of that marvelous peak in the corner of our eye, however as we continue to climb, the view becomes clearer and increasingly more difficult to ignore. DO NOT PANIC! Everything we have done, everywhere we have been, all our experiences, all the people we have ever met, are the reason we are here, and why we are who we are. Nothing has been wasted – no regrets – our journey continues on regardless as we climb new heights. The perceived change in destination does not negate the past, or what we have experienced, the contrary is true, it allows us to view our path with reflective wisdom. There is only one rule to remember (important – I will test you later!) – this is our personal journey, we are doing it for ourselves and not for anyone else. Ok, ok, settle down, I have heard it all before – ‘its not that easy’, ‘that’s selfish’, ‘what about my ______ (insert appropriate name of kin, dog or fish)?’. Remember the rule – my journey. This being our personal journey does not negate interaction with others – imagine how happy our loved ones will be when they truly grasp how joyful we are?
Lets assume we’ve stopped fighting it (it being the courage to follow our heart), and we have decided that compromise is not allowed to play any more, what now? FREE TIP (generous to a fault) – shine a light on your world and look very carefully at what you see, then take a piece of paper and make a list of all the things that really make you smile. Right, STOP NOW! Start again please, and this time be really really honest – this is YOUR list – ok better.
Scary eh? Some really amazing things on that list I bet, totally priceless actually. More surprising are the things we leave off! Now we have a real ‘makes me smile list’, and not quite so difficult to move forward when we trash the retrospective silver linings we trace along those missing items.

I love my list, no honest, I really really love my list, and am compelled to grin, Cheshire-cat style, most of the time! Let me explain – my list is small and not very complicated – by spending more time with the items on my list and less with the ‘false prophets of happiness’ acquired from other peoples lists, I have smiled more outrageously, more frequently and longer than for many a year.
So this is fab – my whole world is going to be one great big smile and a never-ending bag of Twiglets right? Sorry, no. This is going to be BIG, and involve BIG change, even those connected to us will experience the change even if they don’t want to. ‘HELP’ I hear you cry, ‘what can I do?’ This may sound a little twee, but it is the best advice I can offer…
~ for the adults around you, try and explain – I know its difficult, it’s like trying to explain colour to someone who only sees in black & white – but keep trying with compassion and love at all times, however hard that may be
~ for children, realise that we spend so much time telling them to grow up and be more responsible, and yet the times we need to talk to them about ‘grown up’ stuff we end up treating them like kids! Trust me on this one – they get it – love, compassion and honesty will win the day and result in a lot of fun, laughter and love.
Well that concludes my chat and I wish you well in this part of your journey, whatever stage you are at. My next installment will cover the more complex subjects of gardening on a small balcony and de-cluttering from a lifetime of collecting ’stuff’.

the hidden messages in water

The Hidden Messages In Water

Let me ask you to think about why crystal formation would be affected by music, and why completely different results would be reached depending on the spoken and written words water was exposed to. The answer is found, again, in the fact that everything is vibration. Water – so sensitive to the unique frequencies being emitted by the world – essentially and efficiently mirrors the outside world.
Music and spoken words are vibration, they are easily understood and interpreted by just about anyone. Sounds like the chant created by a human voice at a Buddhist funeral create a healing frequency.
But how can we interpret the phenomena of crystal formation being affected by words written on paper and shown to water? The written words themselves actually emit a unique vibration that the water is capable of sensing. Water faithfully mirrors all the vibrations created in the world, and changes these vibrations into a form that can be seen with the human eye. When water is shown a written word, it receives it as vibration, and expresses the message in a specific form.
Water exposed to the words “Thank you” formed beautiful geometric crystals, no matter what the language. But water exposed to “You fool” and other degrading words resulted in obviously broken and deformed crystals…

love and gratitude

We can surmise that when a complete geometric crystal is formed, water is in alignment with nature and the phenomenon we call life. The crystals do not form in water that has been polluted by the results of our failure to remember the laws of nature…
The words gratitude and love form the fundamental principles of the laws of nature and the phenomenon of life. Therefore, water in its natural form is required to create the hexagonal form. By contrast, words such as “You fool” do not exist in nature and are instead unnatural elements created by people. Words that revile, harm, and ridicule are the result of the culture created by humans.
It’s likely that only vibrations of love and gratitude appear in nature, and observation of nature shows this to be true. The trees and plants show respect for each other by the way they live in harmony…
In an article in the March-April 1989 issue of American scientific journal 21st Century Science and Technology, Warren J. Hamerman wrote that the organic matter that forms human beings generates a frequency that can be represented by sound at approximately forty-two octaves above middle C… The modern standard for middle C is approximately 262 Hz, so this means that the sound reaches roughly 570 trillion Hz. Since Hz means vibrations per second, this indicates that human beings vibrate 570 trillion times a second, a number that exceeds the imagination and indicates incredible and wonderful hidden potential.
…The human being holds a universe within, filled with overlapping frequencies, and the result is a symphony of cosmic proportions.
…But what enlightenment can be obtained by seeing frequency as sound?
The most important revelation is that of resonance. Sounds of the same frequency resonate… When one side creates a frequency and the other responds with the same sound, they resonate. It’s said that likes attract, and so it would appear that vibrations attract and interact with each other.
…And we see this in human relationships: people who generate similar frequencies are attracted to each other, resulting in friendship. Certain people remain uninterested in each other, no matter how physically close they may be. However, if someone you don’t like approaches you and you react, this also means that you are resonating in some way with that person.
The greatest secret of Japanese martial arts is referred to as “winning without fighting.” This essentially means avoiding resonating with the enemy. To fight and win results in resonance with the enemy, and so the level of the relationship is very low.
When frequencies are fundamentally incompatible, they cannot resonate. We cannot accept what is fundamentally different from us.
…No matter how distant the frequencies, resonance will result if one of the two numbers is a multiple of the other…
When you think about it, people are attracted to Christ, Buddha, and others who emit a high level of vibration, but we also find ourselves attracted to the low-level outlaws of society (such as Bonnie and Clyde). This may seem like an inconsistency, but it can be explained by the fact that people resonate with others on various levels…
When people resonate and fall in love, they rise to their highest level of capability… you perform better at work, and the work that you do (and often your environment) may well change without you realizing it. People who continue to do superior work well into old age are almost inevitably in love. Of course, this love is not limited to romantic love… Love has the effect of raising our frequency level and making us shine. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could be in love for a lifetime?

in love with that

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

I am in love with that
I cannot see
Yet I feel Your guiding hand upon my shoulder

I am in love with that
I cannot hear
Yet Your song rings in my heart

I am in love with that
I cannot touch
Yet Your warmth envelopes me

I am in love with that
I cannot taste
Yet You nourish my soul

I am in love with that
I cannot smell
While You scatter Jasmine under my feet

I am in love with that
I cannot know
And yet I know That

‘And this is why all the ancient seers exclaimed, “I am that, you are that, all this is that, and that’s all there is.”
Your body is not separate from the body of the universe, because at quantum mechanical levels there are no well-defined edges. You are like a wiggle, a wave, a fluctuation, a convolution, a whirlpool, a localized disturbance in the larger quantum field. The larger quantum field – the universe – is your extended body.’

the creative word

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

‘The infinite potencies of sound derive from the Creative Word, Aum, the cosmic vibratory power behind all atomic energies. Any word spoken with clear realization and deep concentration has a materializing value. Loud or silent repetition of inspiring words has been found effective in Coueism and similar systems of psychotherapy; the secret lies in the stepping-up of the mind’s vibratory rate.’

Paramahansa Yogananda, footnote from Autobiography of a Yogi

I suspect most of us underestimate the power of the spoken word. We don’t think twice about giving words of encouragement to a friend or loved one when required, and yet how often do we take the time to encourage ourselves? The technique of remembering a name or word on the tip of the tongue when consciously stating ‘it will come back to me in a minute’, is the same technique that can be applied to instructing our mind, body & spirit to self-mastery.
Likewise, negative thoughts or suggestions, whether about the self, or aimed at another, has the potential for real harm. When one ponders the true power of the word, that it carries a vibration, an energy, the realization dawns that being present in the moment, being super-conscious of our every thought and spoken word is creation at its most potent.
Think inspiring thoughts.
Say something nice to yourself, and keep saying it.

intelligent design ~ comment

Monday, December 28th, 2009

In reference to the Kryon exert from The Great Scientific Bias (Vlog: Intelligent Design), a few things struck me;

Φ The idea of twin energies, or polarities in the middle of our galaxy, reminds me of the spiraling yin~yang symbol… I’m not a believer in coincidence.

Φ The concept that every galaxy is connected to every other via its center further reminds me of a Buddhist concept describing all life everywhere strung together like a string of beads.

Φ I had a dream some years ago of tentatively observing Palestinian trucks driving through the center of Israel in celebration, with sprayed-on messages of peace daubed across the vehicles in Arabic script. While the atmosphere still remained delicate, the dream presented images of the beginning of lasting peace. This dream has begun to make more sense in the light of Kryon’s information with regard to the potentials for peace on earth; ‘as go the Jews, goes the earth’.

Φ Kryon’s concept of the Wild Card is an important one, expecting the unexpected. Our traditional concept of time is linear, because it is the way that we have been experiencing it, and yet the reality may be that we exist in ‘folded space-time’. The significance being that as we shift into a quantum way of being, we may well have a clearer sense of future potentials, and the ability to jump folds to tweak the past and present for an outcome that is in greater alignment with our personal journeys. This would give us enhanced creative control over our experiences while incarnate, potentially making miracles an everyday phenomena.

Pigeon Enlightenment 2009 by Vesna Milinkovic

This morning in Finsbury Park while running off Christmas, I passed the same guy (I’m calling him Frank) still polishing his very shiny black car and joyfully blasting tunes from his car stereo. Really makes me smile. I also ran passed a woman in a black cloak trying to enlighten a pigeon by repeating ‘Spirit’ to the bird. I think the pigeon was on the verge of an awakening.

"Anyone feel that power surge?"

"Anyone feel that power surge?"

Like many of us around the UK this morning, I woke up to snow flakes fluttering past my window and a view that’s whiter than usual. There’s an air of optimism that arrives with snow which prompts reflection, and we are in that time of year already with only two weeks left of 2009.
This has been a tough year. Now there’s an understatement. It’s been a tough year for everyone I know, in every conceivable way. 2009 carries 11 energy, the energy of illumination, of dismantling. This is the year that shook our foundations with might, and we now look about us to survey the rubble. Some things were so out of kilter they were begging to be pulled down, just breath gently and it collapses before our very eyes. Other things have taken something a little stronger on the Richter scale, and we’ve all felt it’s vibrations. Organizations, jobs and relationships are the three big ones that have taken a hammering this year.
If you’ve surfed through it all, wondering what all the fuss is about, it’s probably because you’re one of those rare individuals that follows your heart; you were already in the right place, at the right time. The rest of us? Well, there’s a sliding scale of carnage, from a mere graze to outright destruction. The pain we experience is conversely proportional to how much of our truth we have been living over the past few months and years. If you’re in victim mode, know one thing, it ain’t over. However, if you’re asking the right questions of yourself, and taking responsibility for what you have created in your life, rest assured that help is on it’s way, and the cavalry will appear from the most unexpected places, and in the most magical of ways. The more in harmony we are with our own personal truth, the easier the ride.
In the meantime, let your hair down, relax, we’ve made it through another year in one piece… kinda. Know that 2010, energetically speaking, is one of divine organization; in layman’s terms we are receiving a divine helping hand to re-organize our lives in such a way that will bring us a greater feeling of joy and fulfillment. Do yourself a favour if you haven’t done so already, get consciously co-creating. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, google it, read about it, put it into practice; conscious co-creation… it’s time to take responsibility for our own happiness.

the morning post no.5

Ghandi, because he had renounced the outer trappings, couldn’t be grabbed anywhere in the usual places. Those in power couldn’t threaten him with losing his job, house, family, or even with imprisonment and death… detachment renders the use of power impotent… At this stage of inner growth, the power of going inward is veiled; there is darkness and a cloud of unknowing. Yet somehow the pull toward spirit is real. For all the outer sacrifices, something seems to have been gained. What that something is becomes clear later; at this moment there is a period of adjustment as the person accommodates to a new world so different from that of every day.
