I love abstract art.
I’d love for people to see it, to feel it, and love it like I do. Let me show something pure, something free, non-contrived… be gone with wall coverings – show me impressions of the human soul, the human heart, and not the head. I am interested in abstract art movement, a collective, artists and audience alike that refuse to compromise.
Most of the 1950’s abstract painters are now gone. They didn’t need anyone’s permission to paint, they just did it, their way – a watershed in the history of contemporary art, but who is grasping the baton now? Where are all the painters?
I know you’re out there.
VA is a focus created on the hunch that I am not alone, that there are in fact many of us ready to connect within the field of dreams that is abstract art. My other hunch is that most of us are working undercover. We paint because our life depends on it.
But this is not a race, as Ghandi said, there is more to life than increasing it’s speed;
this is a process of distillation from stillness,
and silence,
creation in the void.
